Athletes should have achieved the highest possible level of success and athletic peer review in both the national and international arena. Nominated athletes must have a minimum of fifteen (15) years tenure since his/her first appearance in a professional tournament or in a nationally distributed film or video.
Innovators have advanced the sport though various avenues including but not limited to equipment/manufacturing, coaching, competitions, photography/videos, media/marketing, and/or overall promotion of the sport.
Lifetime Achievement is reserved for nominees with more than fifteen (15) years of watersports involvement who have made significant contributions as an Athlete and/or Innovator.
All nominees’ accomplishments must be from these side-stance tow sports
Wakeboarding (boat, cable, winch)
Those that do not have a history specifically supporting wakeboarding, wake skating, or wakesurfing will not be considered for induction.
Six (6) Legendary Individuals with be inducted into 2015 Class of the Wakeboarding Hall of Fame
Four (4) Athletes (three male, one female)
One (1) Innovator
One (1) Lifetime Achievement Recipient

THE 2015 WHOF INDUCTIONS – A FOUR-STEP PROCESS
Step 1: Open Nominations. Submit Open Nomination Form online with $50 fee.
All Open Nominations will receive an official Certificate of Nomination from the WHOF. Not all Open Nominations will advance to Step 2.
Step 2: WHOF Nominees. To celebrate and promote the best in Wake, individuals with outstanding credentials will have a permanent “Legacy Page” created with their personal bio, top accomplishments, supporting images, and related links posted on WakeboardingHallofFame.com sometime in May-June 2015. Not all WHOF Nominations will advance to Step 3.
Step 3: Ballot Candidates. Individuals with superior credentials may be asked to provide additional information and media before becoming official Ballot Candidates.
Step 4: Inductees are selected by the WHOF from the Ballot Candidates. The winners will be inducted into the Wakeboarding Hall of Fame at a special induction presentation on September 10, 2015 the Surf Expo show in Orlando, Florida. WHOF strongly encourages all Ballot Candidates and Inductees to attend Surf Expo and if necessary the WHOF will supply guest passes for Ballot Candidates, Inductees, and immediate family members.
It is the responsibility of the applicant to supply all necessary materials including bios and supporting images.
Anyone can nominate a candidate, but MUST provide the supporting documentation of the nominee’s accomplishments. Please DOCUMENT each major accomplishment with photos, newspaper articles, competition results, magazine articles and photos, video clips, written and/or audio interviews, web links, etc. All supporting materials must be “digitized” for upload to the WHOF website.
No physical materials will be accepted at this time; however, the WHOF has future plans to display significant artifacts in physical locations, and artifacts will then be necessary to “Honor and Preserve” the Legends of Wake.
Notes: You may not nominate yourself. The WHOF Board is not eligible for nomination.
